The St. Charles Parish Clerk’s Office has announced the launch of a fully-functioning website, email for all staff members (which was previously unavailable), new computer equipment and Wi-Fi enabled high-speed internet service. This up-to-date technology is in step with office needs of the future, but is mindful of the past: All historical records are being safeguarded and are in the process of being digitized.
Additionally, on election night, returns are posted online and on local cable access TV, in real-time, as soon as available. Detailed and color-coded election results from St. Charles Parish will be available online in graphic format and mapped out by precinct and demographics.
Electronic access of records is more available to the public, the legal community, and the courts. The new website will feature a page dedicated to the online access of records which will include a new feature: A daily rate for the one-time or sometime user. This convenience will allow citizens to save the time, effort and fuel costs associated with the occasional trip to the courthouse in Hahnville.
Again, all of this is made possible while working within a finite fee-driven budget which does not include any tax dollars. Clerk of Court Lance Marino has overseen these state-of-the-art improvements as promised while insuring that the courteous, competent staff at The Clerk’s Office continues its tradition of quality personal service!
